Minutes of HARC Meeting 8 August 2011
Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Larry Morgan.
James Lee gave a report on the condition of John Porter, W4KGJ, who is in the hospital in Jackson.
Treasurer Ed Schaub, W5TUT, reports via email a balance of $5,005.40 in the club account.
Jimmy Ready, N5LRQ, presented a very interesting program on the history of the repeater coalition and their VHF/UFH repeater network.
AG5Z gave a brief outline of fox hunting and brought a homebrew portable folding VHF antenna as an example of an antenna that could be used for fox hunting.
Various pieces of gear that had been donated to the club was auctioned off to the highest bidder. The funds received, $37.25, will be placed in the club’s checking account.
The auction was well received and it was decided to hold them more often. Individuals
may bring up to 5 items to auction provided 1. No minimum bid, and 2. 10% of funds
received for non-
Motion was made by Steve Nunes, seconded by Randall Webb, and carried to adjourn the meeting.
