My station is located near Hattiesburg, MS in the Oak Grove community. I operate HF, VHF and some UHF. Modes include phone, RTTY , CW and occasionally others. My primary rig is now a Kenwood TS-2000 shown on the right but the new console also has a FT-847 and a TS-440S installed along with a 2 meter/440 FM rig. I still have my trusty old Drake TR-7 as standby. My antennas include a Tennadyne T-10 at 70 feet and a Tennadyne T-28 at 76 feet. I use dipoles for 75 and 40 meters.

I am currently serving as ARRL District Emergency Coordinator for Southeast Mississippi and hope to have an emergency communications center available in my shack.

My dad was W5DQK, SK and mom’s call was W5DRI , SK. My oldest daughter Natalie is KD5YTD.

My XYL Sylvia just recently got her license. Her call is KE5YBV. It took more than 20 years of encouragement and she finally gave in. By the way, she aced her test! She has now made several 2-meter contacts and even checked into a VHF net.
